Pierre Verger, French living in Salvador, spent most of life in world travel, especially for the African continent. He is perhaps the main anthropologist, ethnologist and photographer who devoted himself to spreading and safeguarding the African culture, including Candomblé of Bahia. Your photos are the result of years of research between Brazil and Africa. For this edition of the International Biennial of Curitiba, the artist displays his works that are analogue photography’s fruit on Candomblé.
