Ursula Meier is a French-Swiss director who studied filmmaking at the IAD in Belgium. The success of her graduation film Isaac’s Dream enabled her to pursue a career as an independent filmmaker. After two documentaries, she directed Strong Shoulders, a feature shot in video for ARTE’s Masculin-Féminin collection. Her feature debut, Home, premiered at the Cannes Critics’ Week in 2008 and won numerous prizes, including the Swiss Best Emerging Actor for Kacey Mottet Klein, who was making his first screen appearance. She wrote Sister for him and received a Silver Bear Special Award at the 2012 Berlinale.
