Denize Araujo holds a Master’s degree from Arizona State University – ASU and a PhD from University of California – UCR, Riverside, USA, where she lived for ten years. She has recently concluded postdoctoral research at University of the Algarve – UAlg, Portugal, and is coordinator of the postgraduate program in Cinema and professor on the Master’s and Doctorate courses of Tuiuti University of Paraná – UTP, in the field of Film and Audiovisual Studies. She is director of Clipagem – Center for Contemporary Culture, and responsible for three travelling shows by Kinoforum and two by Anim!Arte and for taking award winning Brazilian short films overseas for screening at the City University of Hong Kong, ASU and UAlg. She is a member of the International Council, Publishing and the Scholarly Review Committee, and deputy coordinator of the IAMCR’s GT Visual Culture. She loves cinema and a sense of humor!
Paulo Camargo is a journalist trained at the Federal University of Paraná. He holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Theory and Aesthetics (University of Miami, 2002), where he was a Fulbright scholar, and teaches Journalism courses at the Catholic University of Paraná – PUC-PR and the UniBrasil University Center. He also teaches PUC-PR postgraduate courses at the Tuiuti University of Paraná, where he is studying for a doctorate on the Communications and Language Program. He has been editor of culture, a film critic and special reporter for the Gazeta do Povo, Paraná, between 1996 and 2014. He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics – Abraccine. He has also worked for the O Estado do Paraná and Folha de S. Paulo newspapers.
