The museum honors Oscar Niemeyer, an important Brazilian architect, author of the project that happened to be known as the “eye’s museum”. It’s located at the district of Centro Cívico, in an area which gives access to the Pope’s Grove. MON was inaugurated in 2002 and has a total of 35 thousand square meters of built area. It is the biggest museum of Latin America.

Visiting Hours

Tuesday to sunday from 10am to 6pm

Prices: R$ 9 (full ticket) e R$ 4,50 (half ticket)

All sundays, from 10am to 1pm, the tickets are free

Ticket office and access to exhibition rooms until 5:30pm
