Avi Sabah

Born in 1977 in Israel, lives and works in Tel Aviv. Sabah studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, graduated at 2004 and since 2006 has served as a lecturer at this academy. Sabah is one of the co-founders of Barbur, a contemporary and social gallery in Jerusalem. His work has been widely exhibited in Israel and abroad including the Tel Aviv Museum, the Israel Museum, the Hayfa Museum, the Rockefeller Museum, Nordart 2017, Tokyo TWS, Tate Modern, New York, Hamburg, Stockholm, Bregenz and more. He won a Bezalel Academy Excellence award for his studies and was awarded the Mozes Prize for young painters and the Ministry of Culture Prize for young artists in Israel.
