Li Tianyuan

Li Tianyuan lives and works in Beijing. In 1988, he graduated from the Mural Painting Department with a bachelor’s degree at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. There were lots of exhibitions he participated in, including the “Li Tianyuan Art Exhibition” held at National Art Museum of China in 1993; 1994 “Chinese Modern Oil Painting Art Exhibition” at University of Hong Kong Art Museum; 1997 “Chinese Oil Painting Portrait Art Exhibition of One Hundred Years” at National Art Museum of China; 2001 “Arts and Science International ArtExhibition” at National Art Museum of China; 2004 “Between Past and Future” at International Center of Photography in New York and Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art; “Up and Down the River – The Review for the Oil Paintings in 1976-2005” at National Art Museum of China; 2007 “Shift” in South Korea National Modern Art Museum, Seoul; “Daegu Photo Biennale 2008 – The Memory of the Future” in South Korea; 2010 “Through the Horizon – Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition” in Chile National Museum of Fine Arts; 2011 “The Third World Terminal Biennale – Anthropocentric Doctrine” in Ushuaia, Argentina; 2012 “The Third Art and Science Exhibition” at China Science and Technology Museum”; “Natural Portrait – Li Tianyuan Exhibition” in Ningbo Tianyi Pavilion Museum; 2013 “Green Box – 2013 Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition” in Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Porec Open University Museum (Pucko Otvoreno Ucilište Muzej) and the National Gallery of Bosnia – Herzegovina; 2015 “Temperature of History: CAFA and Chinese Representational Oil Painting” in the Imperial Ancestral Temple in Beijing and Shanghai Art Museum; 2016 The 21st International Milan Triennale in Milan Design Museum; and The 4th Art and Science International Exhibition – Dialogue with Leonardo da Vinci at Tsinghua University Art Museum.
