Marcos Benítez

He was born in Asunción, Paraguay, in 1973.
Studied Visual Arts with Olga Blinder at IDAP, recorded with Livio Abramo and Edith
Jiménez and History of Art with Dorothee Willert.
Participated in several workshops with foreign artists such as: Luis Felipe Noe, Nuno Ramos,
José Resende, João Rossi and Oscar Manesi.
He realized the workshop of achievement in film and video, with Juan Carlos Crematta; and multimedia and
Art with Mickey Wella.
He finished the course of Communication Sciences at Catholic University due to the final thesis.
It was part of the seminars on Identities in Transit and Cultural Criticism of the Visual Arts Center / Museum
Del Barro dictated by Ticio Escobar.
In 2015, it is part of SACO4, Contemporary Art Week in Antofagasta, Chile. There, he gave a workshop,
besides working in the desert whose axis was the landscape.
In 2016, was selected as artist in residence of Genealogies: Puerto Casado, coordinated by
Valentina Bonifacio as a joint project of Parsons New School, New York, Ca’Foscari University of
Venice and the CAV / Clay Museum of Asuncion.
Directs the Recording Workshop Cabichui, space dedicated to the art of engraving.
